Agnès Dechartres is a medical doctor specialized in public health. She received an MSc in biostatistics in 2006 and an MSc in clinical epidemiology in 2007 from Paris-Sud University. She defended a PhD in clinical epidemiology in 2013 (Paris Diderot University). Since 2009, she has been an assistant professor in clinical epidemiology at Paris Descartes University, working at Hotel-Dieu hospital and at INSERM Unit 1153 “Methods in therapeutic evaluation in the field of chronic diseases”. Her research focuses on methodology of randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses including trial characteristics associated with treatment effects and transparency in clinical research involving international trial registries. Her work has led to 42 publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
